Gregg Neck Boat Yard is a full service facility on the upper Chesapeake Bay, Maryland, on the beautiful Sassafras River. Located north of the drawbridge, on a secluded and peaceful part of the river. We are a small family owned operation serving this area since 1979.
The Sassafras River boasts many desirable qualities for boaters. It is a sheltered, fresh tidewater river lined with great anchorage, beaches, and creeks to explore.. Unlike most of the Chesapeake Bay, the Sassafras River is sea nettle free and it's fresh water is less corrosive on engines and hulls.
DO-IT-YOURSELF YARD
Gregg Neck Boat Yard is one of the few yards remaining that allows boaters to work on their boats in the boat yard. Boaters can choose to work on their boats themselves or consult with our year round staff.
Customers must follow EPA Guidelines pertaining to the work environment for boat yards. Ground Cloths are required for sanding and painting, they are available from the yard for a nominal fee.
All work must be approved by the office. Electric and water are provided for customer use. Water hoses, electric cords & ladders are to be provided by the customer.
